The film is a comedy-drama about Laura, a young woman who left her farm family to become an author in Copenhagen and live the bohemian life she's always wanted. When she reluctantly goes home for her brother's wedding, she learns he's marrying her childhood adversary Catrine. Catrine has seized Laura's place in the family, and Laura wants it back. No matter how hard we try, we can't escape our past and roots.
