Pickpocket
Michel begins pickpocketing on a whim and is shortly jailed. His mother dies shortly after his release, and over the concerns of his lone friend, Jacques, and his mother's neighbor, Jeanne, Michel joins forces with two petty thieves in order to hone his skills. Michel attempts to obtain a legitimate employment while being monitored by a police inspector, but the temptation to steal is overwhelming.
