The dawn of some little town Labor Day picnic, a drifter (Hal Carter) blows into town to go to an old fraternity buddy (Alan Benson) who also appears to be the son of the wealthiest man in the city. Hal is a braggart - no accomplishment and all potential. He meets up with Madge Owens, the town beauty queen and buddy of Alan Benson.
