Doris Day, in her film debut, plays Georgia Garrett, a singer sent by jealous spouse Elvira Kent on a sea cruise to masquerade as herself while she covertly stays at home to capture her husband dishonesty. At the same time equally dubious spouse Michael Kent has sent a private investigator on the same cruise to capture his better half disloyalty. Love as well as confusion occurs together with plenty of music numbers.
