Due to engine issues, student Charlie is forced to come to a halt while transporting a Porsche from Los Angeles to Atlantic City. He is mistaken for a wealthy individual and is invited to a large poker game, where he wins handsomely. Denny Halloran, the son of a powerful mobster, on the other hand, is a lousy loser and initiates a fight. However, he is a poor combatant, and as a result, he is killed when he falls on his head. Charlie is now in jeopardy; after fleeing, Halloran's father threatens him with a reward if he returns. Even the cops are powerless in the face of the great guy... and so Charlie is forced to flee for his life.
