Taipei. The town is experiencing an unparalleled winter heatwave, with temperatures from the 30s. Eight-year-old Tiger (Antoine) lives together with his divorced mother, Cao Yi (Vivian Hsu), 36, who's fighting to pay bills with her occupation as a magazine editor and paid down alimony payments from her ex-husband (Tang Kuo-chung). Tiger, with a hyper active imagination and sees with his mum as a run-down robot that needs a new version, isn't too bright in the school and worries his own art educator (Mini Yang) with the darkened pictures he draws in class.
