Jean, an industrialist, is living the jet set lifestyle in late 1960s Paris. Things aren't going so well at home with his icy wife Danielle. He meets Nicole, their new neighbor, and they fall in love. But she has a sadistic ex-boyfriend named Klaus who keeps popping up. It soon becomes clear that Danielle and Nicole are plotting against Jean, with Klaus acting as the hitman hired to assassinate him.
