Jeanne and Deb drive an empty route into the countryside to avoid traffic after a night of heavy drinking, where they run into a mysterious woman who immediately vanishes into a field. The girls decide to investigate with the help of some friends, plagued by guilt and unable to go to the police. When their peers begin to die or mysteriously vanish, it becomes evident that a larger, sinister power is at work, and Jeanne finds herself in a weird battle with the undead and a wicked voodoo priest with nefarious ambitions.
