The Adventures of Mark Twain
This feature-length Claymation fantasy, based on Mark Twain's stories, follows the adventures of Tom Sawyer, Becky Thatcher, and Huck Finn as they stowaway aboard Mark Twain's interplanetary balloon. Twain, disgusted with humanity, is determined to track down Halley's Comet and collide with it, thereby fulfilling his "destiny." It's up to Tom, Becky, and Huck to persuade him that his decision was incorrect and that he still has much to offer humanity that could make a difference. Their efforts aren't merely altruistic; if they fail, they will suffer the same fate as Mark Twain. Along the way, they use a magical time portal to gain a thorough understanding of Mark Twain's philosophy, observing the "historical" events that inspired his works.
