In August 1995, Mikiya first meets Shiki when it is snowing and she is wearing a white kimono. Later, Mikiya sees Shiki in the crowd at the high school freshman ceremony. He runs after her and introduces himself. Shiki keeps a big secret, though: There is a wave of strange murders, but no one knows who did it. There are still a lot of questions: Who should we trust? Who killed the person? What is Shiki's big secret? Who is SHIKI, in particular?
