The Painter and the Thief
When two of artist Barbora Kysilkova's most valuable paintings are stolen from a gallery at Frogner in Oslo, the police track down the thief after a few days, but the paintings are gone. Barbora attends the trial in the hopes of gaining information, but instead she asks the thief if she can paint a portrait of him. This is the beginning of an unusual friendship. The cinematic documentary follows the incredible story of the artist searching for her stolen paintings while also turning the thief into art over the course of three years.
