When a City Rises
Behind the gas masks of Hong Kong's democratic movement, the often very young activists are as diverse as the world's youth. They do, however, share a desire for democracy and freedom. They have the desire and the bravery to fight, and they can see that things are going wrong in the small island city, which has official autonomy under China but is now tightening its hold and demanding that "troublemakers" be imprisoned or silenced. We meet a 21-year-old student, a teenage couple, and a new parent in the midst of the violent riots.
