Fruits Basket
Tohru Honda, a sixteen-year-old orphan, is invited to live with her classmate, the attractive boy Sohma Yuki, and his cousins, Kyo, sixteen, and Shigure, twenty-seven. However, these young men and members of their family (both close and distant) are cursed; if they are hugged by someone of the opposing gender, they transform into animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Tohru's life is filled with adventures as she learns to know everyone in her large family (particularly Yuki and Kyo) better through common and strange events. The curse of the Sohma family, however, is no joking matter; it entails horrific cruelty and suffering.
